Camping and the illusion of emptiness, 2024. Papier-mache, thrifted objects, video, lights. An immersive display about the experience of camping I had as a child in the 1970s in Canada. There was an impression that the wilderness was unoccupied and always had been. This was a colonial serving lie. Indigenous people were here and are here today.
